My Refcard Won't Download. What happened?

While most users won't have any problems (thousands have successfully gotten their PDFs), there are a few users that might experience problems.  The primary places where this might happen:

  1. You have an overly aggressive firewall on your network
  2. You're using an older Lotus Notes + IE 6 to read your email and download the PDF
  3. You're using Internet Explorer behind a firewall.
If you have problems downloading, DO NOT TRY TO DOWNLOAD MORE THAN 5 TIMES.

To solve these problems, try the following things.  If you're already hit your maximum number of download attempts, please email support@dzone.com and forward us the email that contained your download link.

  1. This sometimes happens with IE and the Firewall.  Try using Firefox.
  2. We've had reports that just using IE 6 works fine, Lotus Notes appears to be the problem. 
  3. This is a recent report, but it looks like IE7 causes some problems with downloads.  Check that other downloads work or try Firefox
